Uche Enemchukwu
Describe your history with Husch Blackwell.
I started my career in benefits at Husch Blackwell in 2013, working with amazing partners in the St. Louis and Kansas City offices. I was at the firm for about two years, and during that time was trained and developed in the technical rules of employee benefits.
Describe your current role/practice outside of Husch Blackwell.
I am the CEO of Nelu Solutions, a global diversity, equity and inclusion consulting firm that specializes in employee benefits. Building on the foundational experience I gained from my time at Husch Blackwell and my later experiences at Willis Towers Watson and Boeing, I co-founded Nelu in 2019 and since then have seen our operations grow from the U.S. into Europe.
Share a favorite memory of your time at Husch Blackwell.
I must say I have many fond memories of working with Craig Kovarik in the Kansas City office. If you’ve never met him, he’s quite the character – very kind and fun. He’s also an excellent benefits attorney.
With which Husch Blackwell attorneys/staff have you remained in touch?
I’m still in touch with members of the benefits team who were there before I left. They are like family to me!
