Dear Husch Blackwell Alumni,
It has been my privilege to work alongside many of you throughout the various chapters of my career at Husch Blackwell, beginning with my days as a summer associate more than 25 years ago. Today, I am both honored and excited to address you as the firm’s new Chief Operating Officer.
My journey at Husch Blackwell—as both an attorney and a business professional in senior leadership, most recently as Chief Client Officer—has given me a profound appreciation for our firm’s culture, our clients’ needs, and the invaluable contributions of our colleagues and alumni. With this perspective, I step into my new role energized by the opportunity to further strengthen our operational foundation and support our continued growth.
Each of you has witnessed—and contributed to—Husch Blackwell’s remarkable evolution. Over the past decade, we have celebrated seven consecutive years of revenue growth (including six years of double-digit gains) and a 90% increase in headcount, now surpassing 1,100 attorneys. By establishing a dedicated operations division, we are poised to accelerate this momentum through strategic lateral hires and acquisitions, all while preserving the exceptional service our clients have come to expect.
In this spring’s newsletter, you’ll discover stories about the people who remain at the heart of what makes Husch Blackwell truly uncommon. I am continually inspired by our alumni who have built their careers here and gone on to achieve success elsewhere, by our retirees whose legacies continue to shape the firm, and by those we have lost, whose impact endures in our collective memory. Each of you is an integral part of the Husch Blackwell story—a story that continues to unfold with every passing year. I am eager to see what we will accomplish together in the chapters ahead.
