New Firm Chair Catherine Hanaway

As of April 1, Husch Blackwell officially has a new Chair. Catherine Hanaway assumed the position, succeeding Greg Smith. She had been elected to the position by the firm’s partners about a year ago, and this time allowed for a smooth transition. Catherine joined the firm in 2013 and is the firm’s first female Chair. She is a former U.S. Attorney and Missouri Speaker of the House. She represents leading global and closely held companies in civil and criminal investigation and in business litigation.

Steve Levine Named New FAB SBU Leader:

The firm announced a new strategic business unit (SBU) leadership change, as Steve Levine will be the new leader for the Food & Agribusiness SBU, effective July 1. Steve Carman currently heads up the SBU and will work closely with Steve Levine during the transition period. Steve has been with the firm since 2014 and is a partner in the Denver office. He leads HB’s national cannabis practice and was instrumental in the opening of the Sacramento, California, office. Congratulations to Steve on his new role.
