Levi Snow
Husch Blackwell mourns the passing of Levi Snow, our former Director of Human Resources, on July 17, 2023. Levi leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Rebecca; daughter Sarah; son-in-law Julius; grandson Alexander Levi; two sisters and a brother; a niece; and many cousins.
After beginning his career in social work, Levi later moved into Human Resources. He devoted the last 20-plus years of his career to Husch Blackwell, where he served in various HR and DE&I roles. Levi was also a frequent teacher of Human Resources courses at Park University in the Kansas City area, his undergraduate alma mater.
Although Levi retired from the firm in January 2021, his time at the helm of HR left an indelible mark on Husch Blackwell’s culture. Levi was dedicated to ensuring that each employee had a voice and a meaningful, productive career, and he believed deeply in the impact that a caring, effective HR department could have on an institution and its workers. He is remembered for his kindness, his warmth, and his genuine interest in his colleagues, many of whom became close friends. None of us will ever forget his big, bright smile.
Levi was remembered at his visitation and funeral on July 29 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel in Overland Park, Kansas. Bret Chapman, Husch Blackwell chief operating officer and good friend of Levi’s, said the following at his services, “We used to call Levi the Mayor, because he never met a stranger. He often struck up conversations with complete strangers in elevators and it seemed as if he’d known that person for years.”
