It is with sadness that we share the news of Ernie Fleischer's passing at the age of 89. Ernie was regarded as one of the best tax practitioners in the country and practiced in the firm's Kansas City office. Ernie and current HB attorney Jason Reschley practiced law together since meeting in 1981.

"He was absolutely brilliant. Most people, when they attack problems, go through a linear path of thought and as they run into problems, they just try to get around that problem," Reschly said. "Ernie would go back to the beginning of the issue and see if there was a totally different approach to it that would give you a better answer."
