Alex Terras
Husch Blackwell mourns the passing of Chicago office-affiliated senior counsel Alex Terras on October 9, 2023 in Venice, Italy. He leaves behind his daughter, Mara; two grandchildren, Ellis and Caleb; his sister, Irene Miller; and a dear companion, Heather Kaszynski. Alex passed after a month-long adventure with Heather through Portugal, Switzerland, Egypt, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Firm leadership issued this internal email:
“Alex had been a part of Husch Blackwell since 2017, and he made invaluable contributions as a member of our Insolvency practice group.
His gift for fostering and sustaining relationships, especially the lasting ones he maintained with clients over the course of decades, was a trait that garnered the respect and admiration of many. All of us were lucky to have Alex as a colleague and his presence will undoubtedly be missed.
If you had the privilege of working closely with Alex, we are aware of the deep impact of his loss. Rest assured, we stand with you during this challenging period, ready to offer our deepest sympathy and unwavering support. We are keeping you, along with Alex’s family and friends, in our thoughts today.”
Alex was remembered at a memorial service at his home in Chicago on November 4. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chicago Sinfonietta, where Alex served on the board of directors.
