2025 Federal Actions & Impacts

Join Kyle Gilster, office managing partner of Husch Blackwell’s Washington, DC office, for a guided tour of the most consequential developments emerging from the executive branch since the Trump administration assumed power in January 2025.

Kyle will review executive, regulatory, and legislative actions by the current administration which may impact your legal practice or business. This will include a discussion of executive orders and presidential actions which impact things such as your labor and employment practices; federal funding opportunities; international trade and supply chains; and regulatory compliance and enforcement, among other areas. He will also chart how changing federal priorities have opened the door for increased regulatory enforcement from state and local authorities, complicating compliance across a broad range of areas. Finally, Kyle will explain how the budget reconciliation process works and the outcome of these legislative deliberations.
